Update (01.08.24): The website was offline due to commitments with a higher priority. However, given some general interest in the page, I recently decided to reactivate. Please note, some information and links may be outdated.
My name is Christopher Ross and I’m the creator and currently sole author here on Policy Crossroads. My background is in International Public Management and Policy, as well as in Sociology and International Relations.
The main objective is to review policy decisions and promote policy ideas that help shape the understanding policies, for example by focusing on the environment, humanitarian aid, and poverty. The content is also meant to be written in an accessible and concise way so that anyone reviewing the pages can take something away from the articles.
From early on during my studies, the idea to start Policy Crossroads came about as a general idea to reflect on the material I was learning. However, considering the number of policy websites, journals, and blogs, having my own website meant I could focus on the subjects that interest me the most while sharing relevant ideas with a larger audience (at least an audience that is interested in the same topics…).
Driven from the interest in these different themes, the name “Policy Crossroads” serves as a reflection on the objective behind the website: a meeting point where policy ideas intersect and touch base with practical applications of policy.
